After School Sports
Welcome to the After School Sports Programs offered by the City of Walnut Creek's Recreation division! Our mission is to provide sports opportunities that promote healthy lifestyles, personal development, and most importantly, fun through both competitive and recreational athletic experiences.
Designed for students at Walnut Creek Intermediate, Tice Creek Middle School, and Foothill Middle School, our programs create a positive, safe, and encouraging environment. With guidance from dedicated coaches who serve as positive role models, we foster growth in sportsmanship, teamwork, and an appreciation for the game itself.
Whether your child is eager to compete on a competitive team, enjoy some fun on an intramural team, or sharpen their skills through our specialized training programs, we offer something for everyone. Join us for a season full of growth, teamwork, and excitement!

After School Sports Night with the Golden State Warriors!
Join us for an unforgettable night of basketball, community, and youth empowerment at Chase Center!
We’re thrilled to announce that our After School Sports program is teaming up with the Golden State Warriors for a special “After School Sports Night” on Saturday, February 28 at 5:30 PM, as the Warriors take on LeBron James, Luka Dončić, and the Los Angeles Lakers in one of the most anticipated matchups of the season!

- A portion of every ticket sold goes directly back to support our program—helping us grow, improve, and reach more youth in our community.
- Unlock once-in-a-lifetime fan experiences:
- High-five Warriors players as they run out of the tunnel (20 participants)
- Stand on the court in front of the team during the National Anthem (15 participants)
