Spooktacular Fun Awaits at Walnut Creek Trunk or Treat!

Get ready for a spine-tinglingly good time at Civic Park in Walnut Creek! Walnut Creek Arts + Rec proudly presents our 7th annual Trunk or Treat event on October 23, 2026, from 3pm to 6pm. Bring the whole family and stroll through our "trick-or-treat" lane, where you'll encounter captivating booths brimming with activities, games, and candy galore.

3:00-4:00 pm | Low-Sensory Hour
4:00-6:00 pm | General Event: Music, activities, giveaways, a scavenger hunt with prizes, and TRUNK-OR-TREATING! Don't forget to bring your buckets or bags for goodies.

More Information about the 3-4 pm Low Sensory Trunk or Treat Hour:

Calm Atmosphere: No music or jump-scares to create a soothing environment.
Treats and Surprises: Allergy-friendly and non-food treats will be available for all guests, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
Tactile Sensations: Visit the Whispering Witches Room for touch-friendly decorations and activities, with textures that are calming and engaging.
Quiet Spaces: Designated quiet zones are available in the Whispering Witches Room for those who need a break from the festivities.
Calming Tools: For those that need extra support with regulation during the event, calming tools will be available for checkout with Specialized Recreation staff in the Whispering Witches Room

Interested in joining us as a vendor for this year’s Trunk or Treat event? Vendor applications open July 1, 2026 and will close on September 23, 2026.

Our Trunk or Park Vendor fee is $50, plus a $5.20 processing fee.

Accepted vendors will be sent instructions on how to pay for their vendor fee and select their vendor spot in Eventbrite. Before making a selection, vendors should review the available vendor spaces on our Event Map.

Calling all Volunteers!

Volunteering at this event is a wonderful way to enjoy the festive fall atmosphere, meet new people, and support one of our largest community gatherings of the year.

We offer a variety of roles and flexible time slots for those interested in helping out. As a volunteer, you’ll play an important part in creating a positive experience for our attendees and contributing to the services and activities we provide for the community.

2026 volunteer applications will open on Monday, August 24, 2026.
