Field Conditions

To check the status of field availability, call the Field and Dog Park Hotline at (925) 256-3574.

If the AQI level is at or above 150 at the cancellation deadline, the City will close play fields and sand volleyball courts. When the AQI level is below 150 the fields will remain open. For AQI information we monitor Air Now and Purple Air.

Updates on closures and reopening after closures take place twice a day: 

• At 8:00am, the call will be made to cancel programming between 9:00am – 4:00pm
• At 2:00pm, the call will be made to cancel programming between 4:00pm – 10:30pm
• For all open fields during the inclement season, please be advised that areas on the field COULD STILL BE WET. Use your best judgement to avoid injury and damage to the field in these areas.
