Wednesday, August 26 (7:00 - 9:00 pm)

Get ready for an evening of spontaneous creativity at our Improv Jam! Facilitated by Kenn Adams, Artistic Director of Synergy Theater, this welcoming, no pressure event invites participants of all experience levels to jump in, play, and explore the art of unscripted performance. 
Spectators are warmly welcomed to come and enjoy a night of laughter, community, and unexpected surprises. Bring your imagination, your curiosity, and your sense of humor. We’ll handle the rest!

End Your Summer with Our Next Paint Night!
Thursday, August 27 (6:00 -8:00 pm)
This August workshop celebrates the warm, glowing colors of late summer sunsets and invites you to unwind as you create your own abstract interpretation of evening light. Enjoy complimentary drinks and light refreshments as you learn how to paint abstract sunset inspired compositions using acrylic paints, exploring color blending, texture, and expressive brushwork.

Ceramics Visiting Artist: Scott Jennings - Stretching the Slab
Friday, August 28 (10:00 am - 3:00 pm)
We're looking forwards to an exciting day of turning slabs into functional art. Scott Jennings will demonstrate the techniques that he uses to create hand built vessels from slabs of clay. He will show how to make patterns for each form, how to texture the clay, best practices for constructing with slabs, and how to create volume by stretching and contouring the vessels once constructed. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided by the Clay Arts Guild.

Celebrate Your Next Party With Us!

We are excited to share that Center for Community Arts is now available for art parties! Our art parties are perfect for any occasion - birthdays, graduations, team parties, and more! We offer three creative art party packages for you to choose from. Each party includes supplies, hands-on activities, set-up, clean-up, and a Party Captain to assist you and your guests throughout your event.

Fall Classes are Coming Up!
Register today to join us in the studio this quarter! Center for Community Arts offers classes in ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, glass, sewing, weaving, dance, music, theater, and more! New classes start beginning September 6.

Arts and Rec Class Withdrawals/Refunds/Transfers 

If you wish to withdraw or transfer, request this at least fourteen (14) calendar days before the start date for a credit or refund. A $12 fee per person, per program will be charged. No refunds or credits after this time. Refunds are processed within three (3) weeks. No refunds for non-attendance or lack of student participation. Withdrawals may be done online. Transfers must be done in person or over the phone.
