Upcoming Arts Events |

Center REP invites you to the musical event of the summer—Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill, The Musical.
Winner of 2 Tony Awards and inspired by one of the best-selling albums of all time, this electrifying new musical charts the lives of Mary Jane Healy and her picture-perfect American family. As hidden secrets and resentments begin to fracture the pristine façade of suburban life, the Healy’s are forced to confront the truth of each other and their community, redefining the place they once called home. Raw, personal, and bursting with some of the most explosive songs in pop music history, this Tony Award-winning work from Oscar-winning writer Diablo Cody and Grammy Award-winning songwriters Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard will have you rocking in the aisles while reclaiming the power and purpose of family. Performances run May 31 through June 28, buy tickets online.
Aztec stories in Aztec Stories in Modern Mexico: An Inocencio Jiménez Chino Retrospective on view now until 6/28
Jiménez Chino’s first-ever retrospective, this exhibition traces the artist’s evolution from early works on board to protest line drawings from the 1990s and newly completed narrative amate paintings that capture, with remarkable intimacy and detail, daily life in the Balsas River basin of Guerrero, Mexico.
Join Arts + Rec for Bedford Happy Hour —a new, 21+ event that invites you to discover and enjoy the latest exhibitions at Walnut Creek’s sophisticated destination for visual art.
Thursday, 5/14 from 5:00 PM–7:00 PM. Your $15 ticket includes up to three cocktails, entrance to Aztec Stories in Modern Mexico: An Inocencio Jiménez Chino Retrospective, live music (artist to be announced soon!), and the perfect setting to gather with friends, shake off the day, and explore artists and works that reflect and engage diverse, contemporary audiences.
