FJAZZ at the Lesher Center returns in April for its two final shows of this season
On April 11, two powerhouses of the genre come together for a not-to-miss concert event. Master guitarist Lee Ritneour and Oscar winning composer and pianist Dave Grusin unite for Lee Ritenour and Friends. On April 18, Six-time Grammy-nominated jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader Gerald Clayton brings his acclaimed quintet to the Lesher Center. Possessing an exquisite touch, astonishing technique, and a sound that somehow combines the dynamic finesse of Ahmad Jamal with the hurtling swing of Oscar Peterson, Gerald Clayton ranks among the very best pianists of his generation. Buy tickets for both online!
On view at the Bedford beginning April 18, Aztec Stories in Modern Mexico: An Inocencio Jiménez Chino Retrospective
This exhibition explores over five decades of the artist’s practice through paintings, video interviews, and audio recordings. Jiménez Chino’s work bridges ancient and contemporary traditions, offering profound insight into Indigenous culture, community, and craft.
The Bedford’s next Cocktails & Conversation is Tuesday, April 21
This event brings together artist Inocencio Jiménez Chino and anthropologist Jonathan Amith for an intimate discussion about Chino’s decades long career. Buy tickets online, space is limited!
