This April, Axis Dance Company returns to the Lesher Center for the Arts with Patterns.

Founded in 1987, AXIS is one of the nation’s most acclaimed ensembles of disabled, non-disabled, d/Deaf and neurodiverse performers. Through this series of live dance performances and a short film from AXIS Dance Company and their acclaimed choreographers, Patterns explores how individuality are expressions of the infinite ways we move and connect. Presented by Diablo Regional Arts Association with AXIS Dance Company, performances take place April 3–4. Tickets are available online.

SFJAZZ at the Lesher Center returns in April for its two final shows of this season!

On view at the Bedford beginning April 18, Aztec Stories in Modern Mexico: An Inocencio Jiménez Chino Retrospective

This exhibition explores over five decades of the artist’s practice through paintings, video interviews, and audio recordings. Jiménez Chino’s work bridges ancient and contemporary traditions, offering profound insight into Indigenous culture, community, and craft.

 

The Bedford’s next Cocktails & Conversation is Tuesday, April 21

This event brings together artist Inocencio Jiménez Chino and anthropologist Jonathan Amith for an intimate discussion about Chino’s decades long career. Buy tickets online, space is limited!
