From balloon twisters and face-painting to food trucks and interactive games, there's something to delight every ghost and ghoul. Best of all, this magical event is free for the community to enjoy! Walnut Creek Arts + Rec proudly presents our 6th annual Trunk or Treat event on Friday, October 24, 2025. Bring the whole family and stroll through our "trick-or-treat" lane, where you'll encounter captivating booths brimming with activities, games, and candy galore.
3:00-4:00 pm | Low Sensory Hour*
4:00-6:00 pm | General Event: Music, activities, giveaways, a scavenger hunt with prizes, and TRUNK-OR-TREATING! Don't forget to bring your buckets or bags for goodies.
*The Whispering Witches Room, an indoor Low Sensory space located at the Assembly Hall, will be programmed and available throughout the entire event.
More Information about the 3-4 pm Low Sensory Trunk or Treat Hour:
- Calm Atmosphere: No music or jump-scares to create a soothing environment.
- Treats and Surprises: Allergy-friendly and non-food treats will be available for all guests, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Tactile Sensations: Visit the Whispering Witches Room for touch-friendly decorations and activities, with textures that are calming and engaging.
- Quiet Spaces: Designated quiet zones are available in the Whispering Witches Room for those who need a break from the festivities.
- Calming Tools: For those that need extra support with regulation during the event, calming tools will be available for checkout with Specialized Recreation staff in the Whispering Witches Room
